With change in administration, the Exira-EHK Schools believed it was the perfect time to come together to design a plan for the district's future. Prior to the start of the 2016-2017 school year last summer, the district and Heartland AEA partnered to start a collaborative process, which included a district annual planning meeting in which Heartland AEA's Shannon Harken, professional learning and leadership consultant, served as a facilitator. The planning meeting members established a desired state for the district, identified the current state of the district, and began action planning to meet their targets. With a new district mission, vision, guiding principles, and motto their clarified focus would help ensure that their work would be strategic and help them fulfill their mission. Please take a moment to read the complete collaboration spotlight article for further details on this initiative. Thank you again, Trevor Miller, Superintendent Exira-Elk Horn-Kimbalton CSD |
