OUR SCHOOL

The Exira-Elk Horn-Kimballton Community School District is located between the cities of Des Moines and Omaha, Nebraska. The building in Exira houses the Preschool - 5th grade students. The building in Elk Horn houses 6th - 12th grade students. The district is a 1:1 laptop initiative where students in grades Kindergarten - 5th have access to their own Chromebook and the 6th - 12th are able to bring home a Chromebook. Our district strives to maximize student achievement in core academic areas while emphasizing future ready skills for every student. We believe in individual student success.

Exira
The community of Exira is steeped in history and tradition. Founded in 1857, Exira is the oldest town in Audubon County. People originally came to Exira for its agriculture and agribusiness. Exira is known for its annual 4th of July celebration.


Elk Horn-Kimballton


Elk Horn-Kimballton
The communities of Elk Horn and Kimballton are rich in Danish Heritage. The two towns are about two miles apart on Scenic Byway 173. Elk Horn is home to the Memorial Day celebration named Tivoli Fest and Kimballton is home to the Little Mermaid. Please visit our community’s websites for more information.
