Okay!!! Getting back with posting these!!! Here is Today's Staff Spotlight!!!
The Exira-Elk Horn-Kimballton CSD is looking for a passionate and committed individual to serve our district as a High School Social Studies Teacher. The district’s elementary building (Grades K-5) is located in Exira and MS/HS building (Grades 6-12) is located in Elk Horn. This position would be located in our Elk Horn Building. The Elk Horn community is currently starting an onsite community daycare serving all aged kids which will be running by the Fall of 2022 and a convenient resource for staff members. Our MS/HS building recently received a Commendable rating from the Iowa School Performance Profiles. Our school and community are very proud of our students being above the state average in ELA and math proficiency and college and career readiness. Our students are actively engaged in activities with 79% of them being involved in at least one activity. Our districts’ communities are filled with community events and opportunities to get involved such as the 4th of July Parade, Fall Festival, Julefest, and Tivoli Fest. Coaching and sponsorship positions are available. Happy Friday!!! Check out today's staff spotlight!!!
Ms. Blazek's math classes now have large laminated graph paper to facilitate group work involving graphing linear equations. The Wipebook pages were purchased for use in the classroom by the Spartan Booster Club. Students are shown working in small groups solving a system of equations by graphing. The students and Ms. B enjoyed using them for the first time today!
