The Speech Team visited CAM today for their annual Walnut Hills Invitational. EEHK ranked 7th out of 10 teams there and we brought home 3 trophies!! Annabelle had the top Original Oratory. Emma had the top Poetry. Fred tied for 2nd place in Storytelling. Way to go Spartan Speechies!!

We ended our Epic Friday of Fun with our Kickoff to Kids Heart Challenge. The Elementary students and staff met the Heart Heroes and got to hear the first-hand account of what it was like for Dash and his family. Go Spartans!
Friday was the 100th Day of School and the kids and teachers in the elementary had a ton of fun!!

Friday morning we started our day with Ag Olympics brought to us by the HS FFA officers. Students in grades K-5 represented their classes in 4 events: bag race, dress the farmer, horse race, and herd the animals. Thanks to the FFA members for the fun
Reminder of Dr. Seuss Week dress up days this week!
Spartan Speech did so well today! We took 21 pieces and 12 of them earned Division 1 ratings moving on to State contest in 2 weeks. 9 of them earned Division 2 rating - quite respectable. Let's give a big Spartan cheer to all of our IE performers today!!
Unfortunately Strawberry pick up is POSTPONED. New date and time is TBD.
Parent Teacher Conferences are March 10th & March 12th!
For the MS/HS Building -- We do not schedule conferences; it is a come and go-type atmosphere.

On Wednesday, Christina visited the elementary to teach us about pollution and water flow & quality. Students helped model what happens when pesticides and other contaminates affect a water supply.
EEHK Elementary will be celebrating Read Across America Week next week with Dr. Seuss Dress Up Days!

We wanted to give a BIG CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR GIRLS BASKETBALL TEAM ON MAKING IT TO THE STATE TOURNAMENT!
The girls will play at 6:45 pm on Wednesday March 4th in Des Moines.
We will dismiss school on March 4th at 2:30 pm.
If you are interested in ordering State Basketball Apparel, please see the attached document.
Orders are due on Monday March 2nd by 8:30 am. We will not be accepting orders after 8:30. See the document for pick-up information
