Father David is a local priest who is from Ghana. The 7th graders have been studying about the colonization of Africa and about African coup d'etats. He spoke to the class about his childhood experiences. #EEHKSpartanPride

Greetings Spartan Families! We will be having Grandparent's and Special Person's Day on Friday, November 19th at the Elementary building. A flyer has been emailed via JMC and will be sent home with students tomorrow. Here is a schedule of what the day will look like: Morning PreK: 9:45-10:45 Afternoon PreK: 2:00-3:00 3rd, 4th, 5th: 12:15-1:45 K, 1st, 2nd: 1:45-3:15 With written permission from parents (attached at the bottom of the flyer), students are allowed to leave with grandparents when their time is done. Hey Spartans! Starting today, Our Spartan Media Students, will be coming out with a series of videos that explain something new that is happening in our grading. As we transition to Standard Referenced Grading, we want to be transparent in the process and such. Our first transition is the incorporation of our Employability Rubric which assesses students on four criteria: Work Ethic, Productivity, Interpersonal Skills, and Personal Responsibility. We feel these four criteria are vital skills in our students' academic careers and also to prepare them for life after graduation in the real world. Below you will see two documents. The first document is what your student is receiving a score for in each class. Students will receive one score per class which is an "average" of the four areas. The second document you see is an example of a student's report card. In the section that is outlined in Maroon is where you will find information for students scores for the quarter on their Employability.
