Our Exira-EHK 5th graders had the opportunity to help with their first service project. Our students help clean the Exira park, clean the old fire station and help set up tables and chairs for this week's Exira Fall Festival. "These students will hopefully fill out a Spartan Youth Leadership Club application to be involved with future service projects in our school or community", expressed Mrs. Dreier, club sponsor.

Homecoming reminder for elementary families:
The students will be in the parade starting at the Elementary School and ending at the Exira City Park for the parade and pep rally. After the parade and pep rally, the students will be loading onto either their route bus or being dismissed from the city park if they are a walker or pick up student from Exira. Bus riders will load onto the buses at the city park immediately after the Pep Rally.
All elementary students have been asked to not bring backpacks or lunch bags to school on Friday. If they are bringing a lunch from home, please send in a disposable bag. There will be NO bags leaving the building on Friday. If your child brings a bag to school and you would like to have your child’s bag home, you will need to pick it up at the school in Exira.
Please note, our bus times may be early or late depending on how everything flows at after the parade and pep rally. If you would like to pick your child up after the pep rally, you may do so AFTER the Pep Rally, and you MUST sign your child out with the classroom teacher. Things tend to get chaotic at the end of the day, and we want to ensure everyone's safety, so please refrain from taking your child prior to the end of the pep rally unless you have previously discussed this with your child's teacher.
If you have any questions, please contact the elementary office prior to 1:00 on Friday.

Hello Fellow Spartans!
With our busy sports season fast approaching, I just wanted to give you a quick reminder! As many of you on our social media platforms have probably noticed, there are a lot of "comments" about watching the games through these different service providers. As MOST of you know, these are Spam/Scams. Please don't fall for the trick!
I am constantly deleting and working to remove these Spam/Scam comments from our page, but it is a chore! This is something that many schools around the area AND country are addressing with Facebook and other social media platforms.
If you are wanting to watch our HOME games, simply use our KJAN site to do that, or simply check the opposing schools social media/websites for that information. My biggest piece of advice, when in doubt...reach out!

Please just do me a favor and ignore these comments, unless it is specifically something that we post!!
